Nasarawa State University Open Distance e-Learning (ODeL) is a degree-awarding open university, recognized and licensed by the National Universities Commission. Our programmes adhere to rigorous standards of academic excellence and quality.
Our program gives you the tools you need to succeed in the real world and gives you a leg up in the labor market today. As online learning gains popularity, companies place a high value on degrees from reputable universities like ours.
The standard duration to earn a degree at NSUK ODeL is four (4) years which is the same duration as earning a degree through traditional, in-person education.
Students from all around the world are encouraged to apply to NSUK ODeL. The students need simply verify that they have achieved O’ level qualifications.
Please note that submission of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) results is not mandatory at this stage. However, upon admission to the university, the WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB results you provided will be verified for authenticity, and JAMB Regularisation obtained.
Students at NSUK ODeL are not eligible to take part in the NYSC program. A “Letter of exclusion from NYSC,” which confers the same rights as a NYSC diploma, will be given to our graduates.
Candidates seeking admission into 100 level should possess a minimum of five Credit passes in SSCE at the GCE/WASC/NECO conducted examinations at not more than two sitting. Credit passes must include English, Mathematics, Economics, Government, History or Civic Education.
Candidates seeking admission into 200 level in the programme must possess in addition to the O Level qualifications, two (2) ‘A’ Level passes choosen from Government, Economics, Accounts, Business Management, Geography or Statistics;
Lower credit passes in ND/NCE in related fields and subject combinations
Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects: Economics and any two (2) of Financial Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.
Any other relevant qualification acceptable by the Senate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The typical time to graduate from NSUK ODeL is four (4) years, which is the same amount of time it takes to graduate from a traditional, on-campus program.
The learning management system of NSUK ODeL will be used in a virtual classroom. You can interact with other students in real time and watch pre-recorded lecture whenever it’s convenient for you. Through the provision of course materials, discussion boards, multimedia content, and quiz, the learning management system facilitates communication amongst you, other students, and teachers.
NSUK ODeL provides lectures online. Students can communicate with teachers and peers through optional meet & greets and other engagement events. Attendance in person is not required.
